Family is part of God’s big picture. It has been so since the very beginning. In His kingdom, we see family lived out so beautifully. Family is part of His redemption plan. Romans 8:16 reminds us of this incredible thread that we belong and that we have not been left alone.
For the Chinese, 2018 is the year of the dog. But for All Nations, this is the Year of the Starfish. The starfish is a most amazing creature. If you cut a starfish in half, it does not die. It is not incapacitated or limbless. Instead, it multiplies into two starfish.
As each new year begins, I set aside time to meditate on the mission statement of All Nations. I usually pray through the mission statement at least once daily, but at the new year, it’s good to step back and ask the question, “How can I uniquely be involved in making disciples and training leaders to ignite church planting movements among the neglected peoples of the earth?”
