As each new year begins, I set aside time to meditate on the mission statement of All Nations. I usually pray through the mission statement at least once daily, but at the new year, it’s good to step back and ask the question, “How can I uniquely be involved in making disciples and training leaders to ignite church planting movements among the neglected peoples of the earth?” I would encourage all of us, Goers and Senders of All Nations Family, to stop and spend some time praying through and discussing this as families, both spiritual and physical, as we head into the new year.
This first question inevitably leads me to another question: Why do I believe All Nations is the best place for me to be? The answer is this: I am longing for every individual on the planet to have a chance to behold the beauty of Jesus in their lifetime.
To me, it is the ultimate injustice that some have so much access to Jesus while others have none. It also pains me to see followers of Jesus who are bored. You see, I actually believe that all of us were designed to be global influencers in one way or another because we were all called to the Great Commission.
I sincerely believe that the only way for Jesus to be worshipped by all the peoples of the earth in my lifetime is to call forth, empower, and encourage men, women, and children of God to be all that they were created to be. And, if I do this, then we will inevitably make the kind of disciples and leaders that will ignite church planting movements all over all the earth. And then the earth will get to behold the beauty of the king.
